Auto Snyc of Opencart with MsSQL database

There is a POS system made in VB .NET in our retail store. The system is connected to a live MsSQL Database.
We are planning to put up an online store with Opencart.
Want to make an extension which I could upload to the opencart store, which does the following
1. Import all the products and data content of the products into the online store.
2. Sync the quantity of the products.
3. Keep a sync on any new orders placed so that inventory can be deducted.
4. Check if new products have been added and add them again.
