I can create a cron job that will run every minute in order to empty your pool of connections that have accumulated. Doing this, it'll refresh the connection without requiring you to restart your db instance everytime. you need to upgrade the database as well in order to have a better functioning of the database. To give you a brief explanation of the terms : innodb_adaptive_max_sleep_delay - It is the sleep deplay aloud per connection. IT SHOULD BE SET TO 0. innodb_buffer_pool_instances - It describes the number of instances of buffer you are having for the db innodb_buffer_pool_size - Size of your connection pool. Please note, that if you upgrade the mariaDB, many such variables shall no longer be required. I can help you with that
