Missing tile game

I need a simple program written in C. It must be made to function on the OpenVMS platform as part of a student project. It is a game where you input two string of 8 letters and a space, one being the beginning and the other one the end state. The commandline required must be in the shape of MC [url removed, login to view] "abcd efgh" "gfabc dhe" The game can be visually represented like so: Start: abc d e fgh Finish: gfa bc dhe All the program has to return as an answer is the number and list of moves required to attain the end state by making moves either up (h), down (b), left (d) or right (g). It will return the answer as a string like this: hbdghh The method suggested is calculating the error/number of moves between the start and final positions before doing a move. I require the code to be commented and be ready within one week.
