Database Display, Management & Search

I have a customer (car dealership) that is using a spreadsheet to track new and used car sales. Each spreadsheet contains a years worth of data from January - December. They wanted the ability to have the data viewed by the entire sales staff and the ability to add records simultaneously. I suggested that they transfer the data to a database and create an intranet website to allow them to view, add, modify, and search through the data. That being said, here are the details of the project: The app should serve the following purposes: Login users, ask users to choose area with options: New Car Sales and Used Car Sales, allow users to view data based on option selected (data should be displayed by month with current month and current year showing automatically), data should be able to be ordered by columns to be specified, data should be able to be searched by Name and Stock number and should include a date field - by default the search fuction should include all records for the current year, it should also include the ability to search by previous years, there should also be an admin console to allow users to be added (users should be granted access based on level specified - read, read/write, modify, and admin), salespersons to be added, reporting to show all sales by a particular salesperson ordered by date with most recent showing first and grouped by year, and tables to be added for new year. 1. Thanks, Steve ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Server info: Windows 2000, IIS, ASP, ASP.net, Access DB or MSSQL NOTE: Please do not make suggestions regarding any other programming language or database structure. I do not want this written using java, php, mysql, etc... This is going to run on a Windows 2000 server using asp or asp.net with an access or mssql backend - no exceptions. I appreciate the fact that some programmers don't like to work with this setup, but* *for this project there are no exceptions. Thanks for understanding.
