So… I need someone to build my website. I did the design but I don’t have the ability to build it in a working breathing online portfolio.
The website will be my personal portfolio for mainly design work. I have 4 pages: home, projects, engineering & lab and finally an about page.
Attached are 4 exports of the design. It should be a horizontal page, the 4 pages need to be next to each other and the user needs to “scroll” left and right. The 4 bars in the top will take care of navigation and should be inline so it looks like one page. Every bar represents navigation to one page. Clicking on it should animate scrolling to the referred page.
I would accept a single page setup (so the 4 pages in one setup), but only the content of one page should be shown and no horizontal scrollbar should be shown.
The pic above the bars should be a gallery that will show different pictures over time with a smooth transition. Preferably, the pic +title is fixed while navigating so when the page moves, the pic will stay fixed. I’m not sure if this is possible since part of the “home” page bar overlaps the pic.
You must have noticed the grid below the header by now. That grid needs to be dynamic, here is where I’m going to put my content. I need a CMS where I can upload content, in any combination of squares. Ranging from 1*1 to 2*2. They should be loaded on the page in a predefined order which I should be able to define in the CMS. Also some tiles should be expandable by the user, so at first a 1*1 is displayed which can be expanded to a 2*1 for instance. When that happens, the other tiles need to reorder so everything is displayed ok.
I’ve created the design in Flash CS5, source files can be shared.
I also want it SEO-ed so I’m findable.
Of course, I have many more thoughts and doubts. If you have any, please share them with me before bidding.
If preferred, I’ll mention your name and logo somewhere on the site as “site developer”.
Lastly, as this site will be my portfolio, it really needs to be structurally sound with some wow-factor. Thinking along will be highly appreciated.
