I have a site that I use html forms on, the fields and their settings are stored within a MySQL database.
My current way of editing these forms and fields is through a statically built page, So if I want to add another field, or reorder fields, it requires an entire page refresh. I know that using jquery would benefit this issue as it could be made to simply drag and drop items onto the form layout, and reorder them ..etc.
Yes there are many out there, I've tried a couple of them, but most don't offer me the abilities I require.
Requirements:
1. Editing an existing form, I need to be able to pass the data from the php script to this jquery editor and be able to manipulate the data accordingly.
2. Multi-valued items need a way to add/remove the items and set a default selected item... i.e. dropdowns, radios, checkboxes.
3. Save the data by POSTing the details to my php page, fields data should be contained within an array, and an ordering number starting from 0 needs to be passed.
4. Easily add extra options in the future.
I'm not a graphical person, but i've put together a quick idea of what i'm looking for attached, two different types to show what i'm after.
The layout idea isn't solid, so if you have a better/easier solution let me know, and i'll see how well it works.
