Magento import script

Hello. I have 4-th option. This is my own tool developed for products import. You can see demo at this link [login to view URL] user: admin pw: 1Newyork Feeds Import menu. It's a pretty powerful and fast automatic import tool. First import of 400k products takes about an hour, update of these products which already imported - 8 minutes (processor i5). Server is not getting overloaded because all mysql tables loaded directly and not row by row but from prepared csv files. Hello, I am a web developer with 4 year experience in magento,codeigniter and php. I have done similar task some days ago. According to me, Magmi is the best solution bkz it does not use magento objects, it directly create connection with database and insert data in related table. that's why this is more faster than other methods and very useful for large data. csv should be prepare according to magmi . we will manage csv using core php. magmi can import simple and configurable products. thanks

Hello, sir. I've read your project carefully and i'm able to do it. However, I would like to clarify some questions: 1) Will you importing from CSV ? 2) I'm going to use Magmi because I already build such scripts. It will run automatically by cron. Import will run very quick, approx 5 min. After import finish also automatic reindexing and cache clear will be running to update all information on frontend.

I will suggest this method -Use the default import option of Magento I have recently imported the products in Magento version 1.9.1.0

hello my friend, I do something like this before, the main error in upload products is the time out. so I can work around this error using some php and ajax query which I used before not just to upload products info and related it to images also. I will waiting u on Chat . and we can discuss about the price also. Regard's.

I will do this job by creating one folder in root and just upload your CSV and using cron job you can set the time of update and your all price, SKU and description has been changed. just you have to upload your CSV file.

HI, I have created similar import using MAGMI. Current script process: Delete CSV file if exist Download CSV file from supplier Loop trough CSV file and convert each line into array Check is SKU exist if exist update product (price/stock) if does not exist create new product (with supplier category) done. I can modify script by Your needs. Script run as cron job. I am not sure what is script speed, i thing for 15000 product is under 5 min. but if You like I will check it.
