Web-based practice management

I want to create a web-based medical and dental practice management suite similar to what NetSuite has done for the ERP space and [url removed, login to view] has done for CRM. The suite will need to be accessible by both patients/clients and office staff. The application is to be role based, i.e. suite access is limited based on user role. Patients will be able to log in and manage multiple physicians/dentists for themselves and family members. They will be able to schedule appointments, set up appointment reminders, request prescription refills, prepay copayments and other expenses. Practice staff will be able to manage all calendars, request prescriptions electronically, maintain electronic medical records, request labs and receive labe results electronically. Practices will be able to have limited customizability of their home page. This is designed to be a full function practice management suite. Application should be written using .Net and AJAX or similar technologies to allow online efficiencies with offline look and feel.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

A fully functioning application that performs the following: 1. Allows practices to set up physician/dentist calendars with calendar rules that allow for appointment blocking, appointment padding, reserving time for call-in patients, holidays, etc. and that will allow for comments to be placed in where blocked times exist to notify patients of reason for blockout. Available times should be of a differnt color than open times. Calendar should be presented in month view with the ability to drill down to the day view by clicking on the day in the calendar. 2. Patients should be able to set up a user within the ProSuite application. Adult patients may establish accounts within their login for their children. Patients shold be able to see the calendars of all their physicians. Calendars will be tabbed in alphabetic order for multiple physicians/dentists. Patients may store their credit card numbers so they may make prepayments of copayments and other expenses. Post payments may also be made if the practice bills the patient via ProSuite for servies rendered. 3. Patients may elect to receive appointment reminders via multiple sources, e-mail, text, and voice by selecting that option at the time they make their appointment. The patient may select the interval for the reminder, i.e. 1 hour before, 2 hours, 24 hours etc in 30 minute increments. Each reminder type may have a different time increment. 4. Practices should be able to send electronic requests for prescriptions to participating pharmacies per attached SureScripts documentation. This information will be recorded in the patients electronic medical record. If refills are proscribed then patients will be able to request them themselves via ProSuite. 5. Practices shall be able to request labs and receive lab results electronically via attached LabQuest documentation. 6. Practices shall be able to verify patient medical insurance information and submit claims electronically. 7. Payments may be made via Visa, Master Card, American Expressm Discover, or PayPal. 8. This is a web based suite so should be scalable to support thousands of physicians/dentsist and hundreds of thousands of patients. 9. Security should be in compliance with HIPAA guidelines as well as 128 bit SSL.
