GEO IP Installation for Linux Server

We would like GEO IP installed and configured on our server. We then would like a variable setup when someone logs in so we may track where people are logging in from and save their location in our database. We want to use the most open source method possible on our PHP 5.3 LAMP CentOS Linux Server. We have SSH access & can offer further projects to somoene who is quick, efficient, and cost-effective at delivering this. This is for the online social network: TheMOV
