OSCommerce Admin will not allow to edit product images

My Os-commerce site will no longer allow me to change an image once i have created a new product with image. I hit the browse button and select a new image to change it and then hit "update" to edit but the image does not change
need help to fix this. i am assuming its just a small script error that has occurred recently and should be a quick fix?
