Modification Muslim Networking Smarty knowledge required

We are a free Islamic Networking platform - Muslim World Network ([login to view URL]) - that provides free services to individuals and institutions including video streaming, audio & video, video hosting, audio and document library along with a host of networking tools. The network site is based on the Handshakes platform (developed by Dzoic). We have customized this platform as per our requirements and have added some additional features like video streaming and video conferencing (by integrating software provided by Video Whisper) etc. These softwares are php based. We need a developer who is really strong in advanced php development, understand 'smarty' templates used in this platform and help us further enhance and refine the features as per the requirements provided. Job Description: Your responsibilities: - Review and understand existing design of the platform and its working. - Able to enhance and modify existing functions of the platform. - Able to create new templates and modify existing templates, working with the CSS files to further customize the website. - Able to seamlessly integrate other php based softwares with this web site. - Ideally should be able to work with adobe flash files and other live streaming technologies, or at least should be able to work with such a person to further enhance the 'live' functions of the site. We would like to start with smaller projects initially and gradually start moving on to bigger and more complex projects. Ideally the developer would understand the concept behind the site and suggest additional enhancements that would serve to increase its utility.
