WordPress plugin to extend functionality of WordPress theme (adding recording capability to page)

I need to extend an existing WordPress theme and add some new features into it. I prefer a solution that can work on mobile browser as well as desktop browser. Lots of Flash solutions but wondering if there's HTML5 that can work in Chrome in both Android and IOS.
