I'm an instructor/teacher working with students to help them walk more in their daily lives. I'm in the process of making a forum and website where young adults can create an account and enter in how much walking they do each day or week.
I have a website so far: [[login to view URL]][1] but it's a mess because the original coder was quite lazy. From what I'm told, the coder did a horrible job formatting the code. The template files have poorly coded methods of communicating with the database server. According to someone who looked at the code, "Much of the user input is not properly validated or sanitized before doing the database queries and leaves it vulnerable to what is called 'SQL Injection.' A malicious user could craft an input string that could wreak havoc on the database or reveal privileged information. As you may be moving to a new forum platform soon, this may be a moot point."
And that's what I'd like to do. The current website is designed through Simple Machines Forum. I would like someone to either a) fix what's currently wrong with the website or b) move everything to a new platform.
Fortunately, class isn't starting for a few weeks and there are no active members of the forum. So I'm willing to just start fresh with a new platform. From what I've heard MyBB is good or IPB or XenForo. As I'm using my own funds for this (though we may get grants in the future), I'd prefer to stick with free software, though I'm not against going with vbulletin.
Additionally, there are other changes I'd like you to make in recoding (or remaking) the forum & database.
More info below.

## Deliverables
If we work well together I may have you work on future versions of the website as well! As it stands there are about 2 other projects I'd like to do-and I'd rather work with the same individual. There is a good chance I may be able to get funding to expand this program to school districts around the State of California. So if we work well together this could even expand into the equivalent of a part time job (once the funding comes in, of course).
For more information, see attached pdf (in a .rar file) If you're interested, send a bid or message me with any questions you have because the project is for a good cause and could make a great addition to your portfolio!
So that I know you (the potential worker) knows about forum software and is not just replying to this posting en masse, let me know your opinion on the best forum software (either in general or for this project). Be sure to include your opinion when you make your bid!
Thanks for your time & interest!
