We are looking for freelance web application developers with expertise in creating embedded interactive flash documents and streaming interactive video contents (the video format depends on the client’s connection speed and playback software components available).
A candidate must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
A candidate must be able to create database-driven web applications that look and function the same (or as close as possible) in all of the major commercial web browsers. The detailed layout and the specifications documents of the functionalities of the web application will be provided in one master Specs folder that will cover every aspect of the website to leave no room for guessing.
A candidate must be able to deliver true streaming video contents from a streaming server (dedicated or hosted) based on the Internet connection speed (dial-up, DSL, cable, etc…) of the client and the playback software available on the client’s local machine(players, plug-ins, etc…). The videos must be delivered at a very high quality regardless the length of the video. A candidate must have experience in video editing but more importantly converting regular camera videos into online appropriate streaming formats such as Flash, Windows Media, RealMedia, QuickTime, MPEG-4 files.
A candidate must be able to work in teams under the supervision and direction of one or more managers.
Technologies used: HTML, Cross-browser CSS, PHP/MySQL on Apache, XML, SSL, Flash, and video streaming (various formats and servers)
Pluses: Ajax, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL and UDDI), WAP/WML
