Hi there, Difficult to know from your project description how much effort is involved. There are browser addins that will raise and alert when a web page element changes, and you can use these for free. At the other extreme would be a bespoke program that lets you configure specific changes, and there the sky's the limit. Take a look at my profile. Hello! Depending on the number of websites to watch, I'd suggest specialized scraper (that can extract product names and send automated alert - if the number of websites is known and constant) or a generic scraper (that will allow quick and simple addition of new websites to watch, but product name and link extraction will be more 'fuzzy'). In general, I see this solution as a pack of base classes, that can be extended by more specialized one to contain precise product name and link extraction functions for each supported website. Let me tell you the process it will work on page scrapping first then save it into a db and schedule scrapping on timely basis through windows service. and compare part or complete html with new and previous if not matched. send email/alert.
