I need form control/validation/format function added to searchbox on a codeigniter site. User is prompted to enter a 10 digit phone number into searchbox.
I need code ready to drop into views file that will reformat/strip out any input like "5555555555" or (555) 555-5555, to exact 555-555-5555 format only. Code must validate that 10 digits (and ONLY digits - no letters or special characters) have entered or error is returned.

Hello, can do this work for you. Not full understand from your description did you need validation on client side with (javascript) or only on server side (php), but plan that will do both. Regards Denis.
