Create a WordPress Template

1) Home page: - Full width, no side bar. - Top nav menu with sub menus. - Image header (slider), not sure if I want a full width slider image, or 1/2 the slider and the other 1/2 a newsletter sign up. - Featured pages underneath. I think I need four? (Services provided) - Possible newest blog post under the above, maybe 3? - Footers, not sure what to put there, maybe social medial live feeds? 2) All other pages same flow: - Top nav menu (Full width) - Image header (no slider) Thin full width and the ability to change for each page. Each page have its own image header. - Area for text, then below page specifics - Side bar starts now. 3) Side bar widgets for every page: - Newsletter sign up - About me mini blurb w photo and minimal text. Ability to click on and open a full page. - Social media stuff - Featured pages ? (Services provided) Use same blocks as used on home page? - Main blog, current blog posts showing? 4) Footer: - Not sure? 5) Pages needed: - Home - Spiritual Blog - E-Commerce - (Services provided) with sub menus. Main page (If didn’t click on a sub menu) to show all the sub menu blocks with text stating something along the lines of “Click any service link to start your journey” or “Where would you like your journey to begin” or " - Sub: $ Card Readings - Sub: $ Meditations - Sub: $ E-Books/ E-course ? - $ Monthly membership (Private members only blog posts and monthly spiritual topics to learn) Don’t know is that is its own page or membership consists of access to what? Not sure how that sharing info works? NOTE: I think on all the e-commerce pages I need a “Disclosure/ Disclaimer/ Policies" note” as the footer? 6) Plug ins needed: - Auto updates/ back ups (I ave no clue how to manually do this) - SEO - Super Cache (This keeps site fast correct?) - Anti Spam (My other site I get tons of emails and comments on the blog post that is all spam) - I plan on putting my podcasts, you tube video and typed out text in the individual blog posts. (Each blog post will be a you tube video, type out for reading and printing and as a pod cast) Not sure how to incorporate that in the blog posts?? - Social share stuff. - Possible google map showing where the studio is? - Im sure Im missing something??? Side notes: - Email integration - Set up mail chimp to collect emails. - Index site on Google and other sites. - Aside from full width header images try and keep all other images (Blog posts, e-commerce stuff, etc) as squares to easily share on other social media sites. Look/ Feel/ Colors: - Most of my clients are either spiritual women, or curious about spiritual stuff. Age 25 - 40+ - Colors and look must be lots of white space, clean, simple, easy to follow, free flowing. Kind of like having an all white house with all the accents as your colors that you can just swap out easily (pillows, curtains, etc) - My other business is art related, so if we can stick with “artsy” or “watercolor” type elements that would be great. The point of this web site is to learn spirituality to create your dream life - like you are the artist and its super easy to create it.
