When someone registers for a webinar on OUR domain, they are immediately sent to our 3rd party webinar host where they are then redirected to the confirmation page. This makes cross domain tracking impossible.
We have developed a solution that works on OTHER 3rd party sites which is this:
We created a .js file that just has functions like this on it:
function jsj_adjf_registration ()
[url removed, login to view]('<iframe src="[url removed, login to view]" width="0" height="0" style="visibility:hidden;display:none"></iframe>');
This is hosted in our Amazon S3 account, which is https.
Then, on the 3rd party page, we embed code like this:
So, the idea is, this script will WRITE the "iframe" code, which will load our TRACKING page in an iframe. We have W3C setup so that page will have access to ALL COOKIES on the users computer for our domain.
It works GREAT on many 3rd party sites.
It is NOT working for this 3rd party webinar host however, is it throws a "load unsecure content?" prompt on the browsers. The tracking page will not be loaded unless the user confirms on this question.
So we are losing the tracking.
The only difference we can see on this 3rd party tool is that the .js file is NOT hosted on the 3rd party tool domain. It is hosted on Amazon S3.
The 3rd party tools where this IS working all have the .js file hosted on their own domains.
I need somebody to figure out a quick and simple solution for this.
The goal here is to get that tracking page to load when a user hits the 3rd party confirmation page, AND have access to the users cookies.
I look forward to a solution - we are trying to avoid having to get an SSL certificate on our site.
