I need a Wordpress developer to create a plugin that inserts a button, image and text below the post (also known as a CTA). The plugin will be used to easily insert links to products. Here is what the plugin needs to do:
- Create CTA (click through action). A new menu needs to be added to the wordpress dashboard similar to the “Posts” menu but for CTAs. Clicking the “Add new CTA” will direct the user to the wordpress editor.
- CTAs are to be created in the Wordpress post editor. A user will enter a Heading (in the post title field), Description (in the post editor) and a custom field needs to be created so the user can enter a Clickthrough URL. This URL is what the button will link to. The user will also need to add an image. This could be done through wordpress’s “featured image” function.
- There needs to be an options page where the user can choose the button color and button text. And an advanced option where the user can add their own CSS.
- The design of the CTA needs to change depending on whether or not the user has added an image to the CTA.
- A custom dropdown field needs to be added to the Post Editor Page so that a user can insert a created CTA in that post.
- An “All CTAs” page needs to be created that will list all the CTAs, similar to the “All Posts” page.
I have attached mockups of how the plugin should look.
considerations:
- The plugin must be efficiently coded. I’ll test it using the Plugin performance profiler to make sure it isn’t using too many resources.
