Help Fixing and Enhancing a Python Script that updated a Bigcommerce database via api

I have a python script that takes my database that is currently on a mysql database and uploads the data via api to my bigcommerce ecommerce store. The script stopped working and the original developer has become unreachable. I require someone familiar in Python because this is the language the script is written in. I also require the ability to omit certain products from having their pricing updated in my ecommerce store. I would like a simple admin to omit certain products from the script update for pricing. We get an updated product database quarterly so this is a project that has ongoing support possibility with additional project revenue. Familiarity with Bigcommerce ecommerce platform and their api is a plus.
