Linux dyndns bash script

I need some help with a Linux dyndns script. Goal is to perform a nslookup (dig A [login to view URL] +short) and automatically post the output at a specific line in bind nameserver config file but only when there is a change at the dig output. The script should verify that the output from "dig" is plausible and is an IP address not an error code or something else.
