PHP/SQL developer for long term project - #6
We are looking to hire a PHP/SQL web developer. You must be able to demonstrate:
- At least 5+ years coding experience
- Object Orientated PHP 5.4+
- Nginx (setup & configuration, virtual hosts, URL rewrites, SSI)
- MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL
- Understanding of REST API design and protocol and development
- Comfortable working with Command-line interface
- Able to work with version control systems (Git)
- Knowledge of composer
- Can work with Vagrant
- Able to create daily and weekly progress reports
- A reliable workstation with a fast computer, mic and speakers for calls.
- Must have reliable internet and power (maximum of 1 hour of outage per month)
- The ability to work hours similar to the rest of the team (9am-6pm GMT)
- Excellent understanding of the English language and the ability to articulate yourself professionally
- Passion to build a startup
Additional experience considered:
- PHPUnit
- Familiarity with load balancing, DB replication, CDN and caching infrastructures
- Python
- Queues and workers implementations
- Familiar with Amazon Web Services (AWS) instances and RDS management
You are free to work on your own hours remotely but we would favour an applicant who was available 9AM - 5PM GMT. The successful applicant will be taken on for a trial period of 1 month and required to work 20 hours per week during this time
