Prestashop doubles products in cart

Hello,
We have a prestashop 1.6 webshop. You can add multiple amounts of a product from every page, it's a small code which worked just fine in the past 2 years.
Now it looks like sometimes it doubles the amount you add in your cart, sometimes it adds the right amount in the cart and sometimes it only adds one product in the cart instead of the amount you would want.
We didn't change anything in the codes, that's why it's weird.
