We have developed a 3D printing slicer we call RoVaSlice (RS for short). RS has a GUI for users to load 3D models (.stl & .obj files), scale/rotate/arrange the models on screen layout, and stream the gcode to a 3D printer. RS also has a tabbed interface which contains the settings for the 3D print like speed, layer height, temperature, and support material.
This project is for a major enhancement: enable painting a 3D model in the GUI. This would be like the functionality of 'Sculptris' but from within the RS GUI. A more detailed spec is attached.
This is an ongoing project so there will be more work for the successful applicant. This is NOT an exercise in learning to code. The only developers who need apply already have experience with the required skills and this type of programming.
1)Get the existing unchanged code to compile on your computer and document specifics ($100)
2)Open model in 'Paint' mode and UV paint the model as per the spec 50% complete ($600)
