Client needs xHarbour consultant/developer/programmer

Client is a large discount retailer, using a legacy, in-house developed ERP system, that was developed using xHarbour. They will be migrating to a more modern, cloud-based system over time, but this project-based need is most urgent. Job Description: Programmer/Analyst Position SUMMARY The Programmer serves as companywide resource for IT projects involving Retail Financial Applications. He/she will be responsible for analyzes, design, testing, deployment and integration of programs and processes affecting various Finance Group initiatives and business applications related to ERP functions. Candidate should be able to utilize Harbour/xHarbour compilers with object oriented development, SOAP, XML, and RESTfull web services and FTP protocols for integrations processes. Projects include business applications and financial applications related to credit house with insurance functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Design, test, and implement software applications to interface with existing applications and their Databases. · Code, debug and test applications with Harbour compliers · Document existing code and process flow charting · Defines and executes test plans, cases, and scenarios. · Provide technical expertise to solve client/server platform problems. · Work with application programmers, users and technical support personnel in problem determination and resolution. · Develop under Windows and Linux platforms. Qualifications - B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience - 3+ years in UI/UX development - Harbour compliers - Object oriented programming - Programming experience with SQL statements - Experience with UI/UX development across different mediums like mobile and tablet devices is a plus
