Hello,
We are small ISP. We have a blade server with 4 units and have installed VMWARE vSphere 5.
Normally some of the features we already implemented like IO/control, pool harware like ram pool, cpu pool ect, and also vmotion and backup restore and in process of the others by internal IT. This environment will be used to create VMs that hosts the services we already have in servers like DNS, DHCP, FTP, radius, pbx, Billing and other servers, but this part is not part of this project, only the proper setup of the environment of vmware vsphere with high-availability is required.
As this was the first time this task was done by our IT , as we need to go faster, we need a valuation of the installation process done so far, and current configurations. In addition we should redo what we may have done wrong or what can be done in a better way and also continue with the other services configuration and consultation process with our IT for services:
vMotion
Network I/O Control (as per what is going to be suggested by you)
Distributed switch, Availability, Storage, Security, Management (as per what are going to be suggested by you)
