I am looking for the implementation of an online catalog/store specifically dealing with wine. In addition to the store section, there would be a few additional pages such as upcoming events, about section, wine school etc.
I would provide all pages in PSD format - it would be your responsibility to translate my vision into a highly functioning online store. That said, I will want to work together with you, so I would expect that you will be able to offer informed opinions and recommendations, and don't need every small thing spelled out for you. I'm not looking for the cheapest or quickest solution, but the best, so please only bid if you have a lot of experience with similar projects, and are able to DELIVER to the highest standard.
I am not very familiar with the various CMS/ecommerce options, so please PM me with your recommendation, the reasoning why you'd recommend it, and a little bit of background.
It is of utmost importance that the system used has the following features:
- The backend administration area should be simple for non technical users to add/modify products & associated content.
- Ideally can do a bulk upload
- as per the above, the CMS should be able to be simplified. For example, i do not want users to have a WYSIWYG option that allows them to change the font, font size etc. Everything should be templated down to a T. If they don't need to see it, I want it out of the backend!
- Store may need to initially exist as just an online catalog (so no online buying function). But this should be able to be changed moving forward
- Should have powerful search & filter functions (such as by price/wine style/region/winery/vintage etc)
- A number of attributes should be able to be added to each product including alchohol %, description, food pairing etc)
- Users should be able to rate products & add comments (which should be able to be moderated)
- Should be able to link products (for example ALSO RECOMMENDED)
- Should be able to designate wines as FEATURED or NEW
- Should be able to have modules that can arrange wines by things like popularity, new, price points etc
NICE TO HAVE OPTIONS:
- Set offers by Customer Type
- Use Coupon Codes
- Multiple Pricing Strategies
