Excellent CSS designer needed to create a Style Guide demo page with all style elements from a web app. More work to follow - SASS skill needed. - Project P7

GOAL:

To have a Style page where we demonstrate all of our UI elements and apply the CSS to them.

This gives us a summary of all of our design elements in one place.

This is a test project, with lots more work to follow. This will let you demonstrate your knowledge of CSS. The next tasks would involve improving our CSS to make our pages look more beautiful.

TASK

Go through our Webapp ( [url removed, login to view])

(you'll need to actually start it and use it a bit).

CSS files are attached. We use SASS. Please confirm that you have experience with that.

Create a web page that lists all the style elements you see.

The Web App does not follow a centralized "style guide". Elements (buttons, etc.) were created "on the fly". We have slowly introduced some consistency, but there is no uniform style guide.

To demonstrate your knowledge of CSS and Browsers, tell me what you would use to be able to view the CSS styles on that page (since they are generated "on the fly" with JavaScript). There IS a way to do it.

ABOUT ME

I have 18 years experience running a software company. So I have a pretty good idea of what I want. So you won't have to spend time redoing something 3 times because I was unclear on what *I* wanted or needed. We create software that people WILL USE. Your efforts will see the light of day and help people around the world who have had brain injuries affecting their speech and language.





I.e., if you are a shop with 5 workers gettign work from this ID, then that's 5.



EXPECTATIONS

1. I expect (and pay for) you to work INDEPENDENTLY and provide QUALITY work but do NOT GUESS if something is unclear.

This means that you DOUBLE CHECK your work for errors and fix them before they get to me. I realize this may take a bit longer to do. That's OK. If you bid this as "fixed" bid (NOT hourly) then let me know if your bid needs to be higher.

I realize that that you may have questions.
Please do your best to figure out the the answer to your question and then ask me to confirm you got it right (or help you out). E.g., “ABC was not clear. I think you mean <this>, correct”.




2. REVIEW and TEST your finished work

REASON: If you give me your finished work and it has errors (incomplete, done incorrectly, etc.) then it takes me time to check it and communicate what is wrong. It also greatly slows down the project.
If you gave a “fixed bid” for this project let me know immediately whether you need to increase it to provide this higher level of quality.

If you submit it to me with mistakes I will REQUIRE YOU FIX THEM ON YOUR OWN TIME (unpaid). I'd rather pay you to spend extra time checking your work so there are are NO MISTAKES.


3. Please COMMUNICATE CLEARLY and provide Context.

When you email/message me please make sure that all the info I need to understand your is in that message. E.g., if you are answering a question I emailed you and just reply “Yes” without including the question, then I’ll have to go find the question to understand your answer.


4. Let me know your EXPECTED FINISH DATE for tasks and milestones, and keep me updated on your PROGRESS.

If you think you’ll be late on something, let me know as soon as you can so I can adjust the schedule accordingly. This also earns you credibility.


5. READ everything that I send to you.

If anything is not 100% clear, please ask questions. If you are fairly (but not 100%) certain what I meant, you can write back “I think you meant: XYZ”, that way I can just answer yes/no.

6. Unless otherwise mutually agreed upon, I require that you USE THE TIMETRACKING service Freelancer provides.


7. Let me know you read all of this by including in your bid or message: “I read everything, including #7”.

8. I make the INITIAL MILESTONE PAYMENT small

This is so that you get feedback that you're doing the project right (which saves both of us time/money) and you get a show of good faith by being paid when only part of the project is done.
I'm happy, once that Initial MS Payment is Released, to create a larger Milestone Payment.

MILESTONE #1 will about about $10 just so we can both make sure we're "on the same page".
