Elucidating the Photoluminescence Quenching in Ensulizole: an Artificial Water Soluble Sunscreen
Springer, Journal of Fluorescence, https://doi.org/10.1007/s10895-021-02736-x
Employing natural or artificial sunscreens is essential to protect the skin from ultraviolet radiations that cause premature aging
and develop melanoma and other forms of skin cancer. The 2-Phenylbenzimidazole-5-sulfonic acid, commonly known as
ensulizole is a water-soluble artificial sunscreen that absorbs UV-B (280 nm − 315 nm) radiations and protects the skin against
the harmful effects of these radiations.
A novel binder free high performance Y2Zr2O7/MnS nanocomposite electrode for supercapacitor applicat
Elsevier, Journal of Energy Storage 37 (2021) 102505
Metal oxides and sulfides nanocomposites with mesoporous structures are gaining attention in the field of
supercapacitors owing to their high surface area and appropriate pore size distribution. Such nanocomposites
deliver high values of specific capacitance due to effective contacts between the electrode and the electrolytes.
Influence of nickel and lanthanum ions co-doping on photocatalytic properties of TiO2 for..........
Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology, https://doi.org/10.1007/s10971-019-05162-5
Nickel and lanthanum co-doped TiO2 nanoparticles with different metal loading, narrow particle size distribution, and high
surface area are synthesized using the sol-gel method. The nanoparticles are further characterized using different spectroscopic and non-spectroscopic techniques. The experimental results revealed that 96.5% of RY-145 is degraded after a short time of irradiation. The maximum degradation is achieved in the case of nanoparticles co-doped with 5% Ni and 3% La ion.
