Over eight years experience in software development
· *FDOT Asphalt Group*: Developed web based crystal reports using Visual Studio 2008 to replace manually created excel spreadsheets. Designed new schema and nightly population scripts for Oracle 10g data warehouse in order to increase the speed of reports.
· *Liquid Propane Distributor in Mexico*: Created an internationalized (Spanish and English) web application using C#.NET and SQL Server. The site allowed the entry of odometer readings from photos taken to track volume of propane verses miles driven to minimize fraud.
· *DMS Application for National Bail Surety Company*: Involved with design, testing, and development of an end to end, web based document management system. Allowed for scan, text extraction, auto-processing according to business rules of approx. 1000 scans per day.
· Using Abbyy Fine Reader Engine API, developed a custom windows service in C# to OCR scanned images, extract barcode, and match them to prebuilt forms for text extraction.
· *The World, Dubai*: Developed the prototype of a web based map viewer using ESRI ArcIMS software for the engineers to upload electronic design drawings to keep the sales team updated with design changes.
· *GPS Web Tracking Application* – Extended the apache-tomcat server to create a server for receiving and processing binary data sent from GPS units then saving the coordinates and attributes to an Oracle database. Created website to view current locations and paths using google maps api.
· Met with Business Analyst to review program requirements and ensure a full understanding of the subsystem to be developed
· Developed design using established OO patterns and documented using UML diagrams with MS Visio
· Performed unit tests using custom extension of JUnit based on the program requirements
