The primary aim of the current study is to determine the relationship between the education system and the state of conflict in Somalia. The key research question in the study is how the state of the education system in Somalia contributes to the violence experienced. Moreover, this paper will seek to assess the contribution of school privatisation and the lack of adequate government control on the curriculum contribute to having different ideologies from the education system on social solidarity and how are various ideas arising from the education system linked to the occurrence of political violence in Somalia.
