I am 29 years of age, born in the UK, but have been living in Spain for the last two years. I graduated from the University of Reading in 1997 with a 2.2 in Computer Science, and have worked as a programmer ever since.
I spent my first two years working for an Internet Security company, first developing C++ code for a Web Content Security product, then later becoming a researcher for the company, investigating and proving new technologies such as paper based cryptography assurance, pornographic image filtering (in conjunction with the University of East Anglia), and the integration of Public Key Infrastructures into the companies core products.
Later in my career I worked as a contractor for a number of prestigious companies, on various web/xml related projects. These include:

Regus: XML integration for internal business processes (Web Methods & PeopleSoft)

Most recently I have been developing dynamic websites for local companies (mainly estante agents) using the LAMP platform, though this sector now almost all have web sites, and this work is now coming to an end.
Living in Spain, with it's lowest cost of living in Europe, I am able to provide you with my services at a very competitive rate. This can be either as an hourly rate, or if you prefer, I can provide fixed price quotes for well specified jobs. Either way, this will be done based on a rate of ?12/hour. I am very flexible, and can work in your timezone if this is important, or do 12 hour days if your work is an urgency.
