I am seeking positions in three main fields:
1. Translation from French to English. I have an M.A. degree in French and also had attended the Alliance Française for many years, taking many different classes, including a year long business class preliminary to taking the exam (which I passed) for the Certificat Pratique de Français Commercial et Economique from the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris. I also took two translation classes where we translated French to English and English to French. I would prefer the former as it is always easier to translate into one's own language and I am exceedingly proficient grammatically in English and have an excellent vocabulary.
2. Photography and Photoshop. I lived in Mexico for 20 years (and speak Spanish) and I am now living in the Chicago area. I am a well known photographer (my work has been shown in many galleries in the U.S. and Mexico) and I have won international.awards. I have been featured in 3 Special Editions of Black & White magazine. I teach both photography and Photoshop classes. I wrote articles in English on photography for a local magazine.. For Photography, please check out my website at [login to view URL].
3. Real estate. Commercial sales and leasing (both office and retail leasing) and some residential sales. I was in the real estate business in a large city in the United States for over 16 years and also worked part time in residential real estate in Mexico. I was the owner/broker/manager of a commercial real estate company for several years. I also spent 8 years doing real estate related business for telecommunications companies (like Sprint and Verizon Wireless). I did site acquisition, zoning and leasing and also supervised the construction company that was erecting the cell towers. For Verizon Wireless I reviewed the entire applications for cell towers and roof antennas, including the legal and environmental documents before sending them to the Vice President for signature, with my cover letter condensing the application package.
