Language enthusiast, software engineer, wearer of many hats.
On the language side, I have experience with translation both as a freelancer and as an employee of a language education publishing company and have worked with both fiction and nonfiction in subjects such as video games, literature, news, education, biography, medicine, history, science, and manufacturing. I have also transcribed, translated, and made subtitles for English, German, and Spanish short films, radio interviews, phone calls, and worked as an editor, proofreader, and software tester for language education programs.
On the software engineering side, I have worked on a Ruby on Rails tech stack involving PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Capybara, and Foundation. Happy to do full stack and would love to even do more front end type projects right now, but also have spent plenty of time in the back end writing custom wrappers for APIs, processing big CSVs, and that kind of jazz.
Do you need documentation? I am very comfortable in the intersection between language and tech, and will tailor documentation and usage instructions to your needs. My colleagues have consistently praised my work as thorough and easily understood by both engineers and PMs.
