## BIO
I am an experienced Java coder with 6 years of active development expertise in the areas of web services, web related applications, server softwares, network monitoring and administration tools. I have been working as a coder on my own for years, but I have 2 years practice as project manager also. Since 2005, I've worked for an international company as a system administrator, managing more than 30 sites and about 100 hundred of file, mail and database servers across the vpn. Our servers are on Linux (80%), AIX, Solaris and Windows (15%) platforms. Besides administration, I do software development of administrative and database management tools.
## Area of Expertise
I'm an experienced System Administrator, Network Designer and Administrator, and of course Software Developer in languages and technologies related to Java, XML, Web and networking. I started using the Java language version 1 for my projects, about 7-8 years ago, so I have a lot of experience with it. I have worked 3 years as a coder and 2 years as project leader. Currently I am a System Administrator in full, but have time to do part-time projects to practice my coding skills. The main area of my development expertise is web services, web applications using various database backends, and desktop applications related to networks (eg. a dc++ hub and client software, network monitoring and reporting tools, simple administration and query tools, etc.) I also used to code small "snippets" in Java and Javascript as well as complete web portals (intranets, mostly) and community websites. I am quite familiar with XML and related technologies, like XSL/T, XPath, XQuery, XML databases, as well as SQL, and database softwares like mysql, postres and oracle db. Occassionally I have also worked with MS SQL and Access backends.
