Customer service is not rocket science. The goal of customer service is to address the customer’s concerns in a timely fashion. If a customer service representative is unable to provide a solution to a problem, he should provide alternative solutions for the customers. If the customer is upset, the CSR should be empathetic but professional.
Part of our roles and responsibilities are to promote the business we are supporting. By providing excellent customer service to customers, we establish customer loyalty. By polite and patient in answering questions, we let them know that we genuinely want to help them better their daily lives through our service.
I started out as a junior agent then became a Senior Customer Service Associate for Convergys and stayed there for over 6 years.Since I left my office job, I worked as a transcriber, project manager, virtual assistant, and a lot of backend ad hoc jobs.
