ITEE is a national examination for ICT professionals in Japan. Over years, it has solidified its position, reliability and drawn a large number of candidates (500-600 thousand people) in Japan. Due to the academic rigor and acceptance as a top notch certification, it has spread beyond the border of Japan to other Asian countries. ITEE has been introduced in 12 Asian countries till now. JICA believes this nation wide ITEE exam will be able to add great value to the present government's slogan of "Digital Bangladesh". And this will produce large pool of quality ICT professionals and firmly contribute to the development of ICT sector in Bangladesh as well as in international job market.
As the first step for introduction of this Japanese national exam to Bangladesh, MOSTICT, BCC (Bangladesh Computer Council) and JICA Volunteers initiated the ITEE contest, and this contest mainly aimed to recognize the current status of IT professional in Bangladesh.
