I have about 5 years of experience in web-programming and web-development.
Now I prefer using Python and Django for my projects (I have about 2 years of experience in Django and some experience in Pylons - another Python web-framework), but I often use other languages and technologies - PHP, Perl and even Lisp.
I write clean and standard-compliant HTML (XHTML) and CSS.
While developing front-end JavaScript I prefer using JQuery library.
I work with different versions of MySQL and PostgreSQL RDMS.
I usually use Linux for developing and production. I know how to optimize server and applications for high load (caching, dedicated light server - nginx or lighttpd - for static files, MySQL or PostgreSQL tuning, etc.)
For now my biggest site developed in Django is Free Encyclopedia of Programming Languages - [login to view URL] (Russian version also exists - [login to view URL]). The site uses Python, Django, JQuery with TreeView plug-in, Markdown as markup language, Pygments for syntax highlighting, django-reversion for version control, DISQUS and django-disqus for comments.
Another big site partly developed by me - Russian twitter clone with music playing capabilities and elements of social network - [login to view URL] (Alexa Traffic Rank 80,860). The part of site I developed is basically music search engine (Sphinx-powered - see [login to view URL]) with huge collection of mp3s. It's is mainly AJAX-powered.
Also I won several web-development competitions at [login to view URL]: Newsweek Yahoo! App Build (PHP, Yahoo Application Platform, Yahoo Markup Language, HTML, CSS), Facebook Mini Tournament (JavaScript, JQuery, Facebook Connect, HTML, CSS), eSolutions WordPress Theme Build (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, WordPress), Fall Plan Resource Tool: Reference Prototype Conversion (HTML, CSS, JavaScript - intranet site for IBM).
