Hi! My name is María, but I prefer the pseudonym Polilla, i was born in the city of Rosario in 1990. I am the daughter of truck drivers and a lover of the roads, I spent my early childhood shooting, reading and drawing. Now the engine of my life is drawing. Before embarking on this journey, I went through many changes and got lost in the natural sciences, of which I keep beautiful memories in my backpack.
Today I am an illustrator, I live in a small coastal town and I have the habit of being able to draw anywhere.
My essential tools are my notebook and my graphite pencils. They always go with me everywhere and wherever inspiration arises I start to draw.
I like to represent nature, the ephemeral and the delicate, as a synonym of strength and beauty. I am obsessed with the small details and I think they are the ones that emphasize the message that I want to communicate with each illustration.
Although I was trained in a Visual Arts school, my training did not come only from there, I was always restless and I went through all the places that offered me to learn something. All that baggage of information and knowledge that I was acquiring are the resources that I use when communicating.
