I have completed in 1999 a master degree in Computer Science.
Currently I'm working as a system administrator and responsible for the web site at the Oporto Economics University. I also work as a freelance programmer.
I've developed several applications including :
- Mobile phone cards distribution system manager, for Angola Telecom. This system was responsible for registration and control of mobile phone cards.
- User manager and Spooler monitor, for Oporto University. Assigns printing credits for each user or group of users, monitors printer jobs and collects information about the type and number of pages printed. Automatically disables user accounts based on the printing credits balance. Users can consult their printed jobs and balance via a Web interface.
- Employment center for Oporto University. Students can post their CVs and define their skills witch can be searched by employers. The search result is a list of students that matches the criterias. The employers can download the students CVs.
- Annual Inquiry for University performance analyser, for Oporto University. The application reads the result of an annual inquiry that is made to students, treats the input and generate various statistics in Microsoft Excel worksheets.
- Several other databases and interfaces for various purposes and companies.
## Area of Expertise
As a system administrator I have an expert knowledge in Windows 2000 configuration and management, IP networks and hardware. I'm familiar with Linux and Checkpoint Firewall 1.
As a programmer I have expert knowledge in Visual Basic, which I used to develop most part of the applications described on my Bio, as well Microsoft Access and SQL Server 2000. I've also developed some applications in C.
Regarding to Internet applications I'm experienced with PHP, HTML and web sites administration.
