I grew up in France speaking English and German at home with my parents, and French outside of the house. After graduating in "Linguistics, literature and civilization" in English, Spanish and German, I lived in Latin America for nearly three years, volunteering with local NGOs, and thereby becoming fluent in Spanish as well.
My knowledge of those languages is broad and even though I haven't specialized in any particular technical field, I can translate texts from most categories in either of the aforementioned language pairs, using dictionaries and common sense. Furthermore, I’m a fast learner when I’m confronted with an area I’m unfamiliar with.
I have previously worked as a translator/interpreter for WordPerfect Translations (ref: Robin Adams, +353 (0)1 891 3100, Dublin, Ireland), Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi (Ref: Tania Baltázar, [login to view URL], Bolivia) and the International short-film festival in Clermont-Ferrand (Ref: Christian Guinot, [login to view URL], France).
I’m a very accurate translator, attentive to details as much in the contents as in the style of the source text, and I’m a reliable person: once I accept a job if I guarantee the deadlines will be met and the job will be done well. My rates are competitive, starting at $0.05 per word.
