Cursor Controls using Hand Gestures Recognition

This is about controlling and performing the mouse cursor events with hand/fingertips gestures in real time. The webcam of a computer captures the image sequences, and the skin color detection techniques (Multi-based thresholding technique) is applied to segment the skin pixel from non-skin pixels. The hand region is segmented from the background, the findContour function in openCV is used to find the features of the hand and convexity defects and hull is calculated. The x,y coordinates of the contour is found for tracking and for mapping different gestures and cursor controls.
