Connect to external DB from MS Access

I need a code module written in MS Access that will show a "file open" dialog box and allow the user to select a directory or file. An optional parameter will specify wether to return the specific file or ALL the files in that directory of that type. Access will than attempt to establish links to all of the tables in the directory that are of this type, or the single file selected. This needs to work specifically for Paradox tables at the moment, but should be generic enough to attach to DBF files as well.
The primary purpose of this is that we have a directory structure with multiple projects, each containing 30-40 identical Paradox tables, all with the same structure -- I want to be able to develop some reporting and than easily/quickly switch the project I am getting the data from -- this seems to be the best approach. Also, there will be other computers this needs moved to with same structure.
I think this is the best way to accomplish this but am open to better suggestions as well
