Bin day alert

I want to create a simple way of alerting people to their 'bin day' ie. the day that they get their rubbish (trash) bin collected.
People sign up and say when there bin day is (day of the week) and choose how to get notified.
And either they get a message before the day or on the day as a reminder eg. 'Hey dude, it;s your bin day tomorrow/today don't forget to take out the trash'
Choice of type of messages should be by...
- SMS
- 'Yo' - they get a Yo from Mondaybins, Tuesdaybins etc.
