This should work as closely as possible to LMMS
Note: There sould be one clip plugged to many synths, or many clips with the same ID
The audio engine used will be AudaSpace (already included in Blender)
*NO* LADSPA/DSSI support
Synth/Effect patches should be done in the AudioNodes addon ([url removed, login to view])
Pipeline should be:
(Piano Roll Clip) -> ID or (Audio Clip) -> ID, ID -> Synth patch -> Speaker/File Output
Editors mapping:
Song editor -> Video Sequence Editor
Piano roll -> VSE Clip (separate editor in a new Blender editor window) - Each clip will have an ID, such ID will be connected to the audio input of a synth patch
Also enable transposition, use a piano roll to transpose another
Automation -> Curve editor
FX Mixer -> Each clip will have an ID, such ID will be connected to the audio input of a synth patch
Add MIDI *ONLY* if you like to, it's not mandatory
