For our logistics company (3PL), the objective is to create a system that keeps track of shipments. We need to design an app to send GPS coordinates and a GPS platform to follow freight shipments in a Map (Web Based or Computer based), with pickups times, delivery times, and other measurements or indicators (KPI's).
We look into the ability to receive data from a current ERP that will be installed in the company, and with this assign the different freight jobs to workers or suppliers with a phone with an app installed in their device. This may happen in a second stage.
Platform:
-Must be able to track different units who has the app instaled in their device to show them in a map.
-Must be able to assign a shipment.
-Must be able to assign a shipment with route (second phase).
-Must be able to deliver different indicators.
-Must be able to summarize different freight units which has a current shipment on the go.
-Preferably on the cloud. May be server based.
-Must be able to receive a Proof of Delivery from each shipment in a cloud based or server database.
-Must be low data transfer to assign freights to suppliers.
-Account Management (For us to see different Freight Suppliers)
-Report of fulfillment and timing of freight units.
App (Only Android):
Must be able to send location updates every xxx minutes to the Platform or Database include the following:
-Must be accessed from a verified account.
-Must send PUSH Notifications to the Android user.
-To discuss the kind of Android device needed.
-Menu with different buttons:
1. Button where you can see assigned shipments.
2. Button where you can see available shipments (on a second phase).

-It opens a Submenu for the assigned shipment with the following with buttons to capture exact time (and save the data in case internet is not available, applicable to every button that captures time):
-Button for capturing time when it arrives to loading plant.
-Button for capturing time when freight unit enters the loading plant.
-Button for capturing time when freight leaves the loading plant.
-Button for capturing time when freight arrives to unloading plant (or automatically set with GPS geofence).
-Button for capturing time when freight leaves the unloading plant or finishes unloading.
-Button for taking one or various pictures to the Proof of Delivery.
-Button to inform through a report in a submenu about delivery delays on the go.
