Outlook integration with web service

This is the concept, I'm looking for you to make your proposal on how we might achieve this; then you get the job (if we can figure out a solution).

The goal:

Create an add-in for outlook that optionally communicates with a web server on sending / receiving mail with certain rules. The reason: to store an email history in an online database.

As for the rules... I'm not sure yet as I don't know enough about outlook events and obj model; so I'm open to suggestions. Basically though, some unique identifier (might be email address, might be some kind of token) included in the subject / body of an incoming / outgoing mail will trigger outlook to communicate with a webserver silently in the background, posting the relevant details (body, subject, to, from, date) to the system and retrieving any error code.

Apart from the trigger detection, there will be nominal options set up - e.g. a username, password - that will also be passed to the webserver.

The add-in should work in all recent versions of outlook and should be as simple to distribute and install as possible - that's a must. It should communicate over port 80 to avoid issues wth firewalls and so forth. It will be installed in controlled environments (i.e. it's not something the public will download and use). Windows platform, 98 and above.

Your job is the windows component, nothing on the server at all.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
