Javascript modification on SWF uploader improve image quality

We are looking to improve the image quality when an image is uploaded to our website. Our members upload high resolution files via an uploader when logged in. These files are then converted and displayed on the front end of our website for customers to browse. However as we are an image based business we are looking to showcase our products in the best possible quality to our customers. Currently the images look a little washed out in colour and not very sharp.
We would like someone to amend current settings or add code to this process to improve our front end image quality.
