We are a small (just 2 staff) but exciting new and innovative research company based in Singapore.
Actually I have vast experience gathering online/mobile research using 'selfie' style video research (either live interview or creating projects for video diary). I myself have experience with working with some of the largest brands (Unilever, teclos, Telstra, M1, research companies), but I want to create a new company that uses the same technology but with various communities on the ground.
TEST
Your first task will be to download our app and record a video of yourself answering various questions in English (if that's OK)... You can answer one question in your native language also. This will be to introduce yourself (that might be used for clients in future) but also to get you familiar with the technology first hand.
FIRST PROJECT:
The first project is we need you to find 5 hairdressers in your city to do 15-20 minutes of 10 interview questions. You will record the interviews and upload them on a portal with info on the respondent.
Timeline - 2 Weeks
This is a test project that you will be paid for but is partly a test of your capability and the quality of the content you collect to ascertain if we should use your in future projects.
For those markets where we need you to do translation/correction of translation, we can pay you to do this also based on your hourly rate and a typical amount of video content / words per hour.
We will pay your some extra money to pay the hairdressers. I'll pay an incentive that matches the incentive benchmarks for your market (e.g. average USD5 but lower for say Indonesia and higher for say Japan/Singapore).
GENERALLY
We need technology confident researchers to work with us on lost of projects through the year.
We have an ad agency who already likes regular surveys from hairdressers around the region!
We're building a network of a few freelancers we can use in each market.
I need to know your rate for: Price per hour including things like:
- Qualitative interviewing (This would be on basis of recorded interviews)
- Price per hour for transcription/translation (may not be need for English, Malay/Bahasa)
For other projects we'll need to pay you for recruitment of people so we need you to be clever and resourceful to find respondents e.g. find IT 10 decision makers, 10 homemakers/main shoppers for 10 hour interviews or x10 mobile video diary of 15-20 clips. Need to know HOW WOULD YOU GO ABOUT recruiting those people in your market and how you'd pay the incentives. Assume we'd give you money to pay incentives after the project that are relatively appropriate for your market - regional average USD1 per minute of content for main shoppers where that is adjusted again for market.
