The project is to develop a chrome extension which will connect periodically (every 15 mins) to an xml rest api. This api will feed a list of text strings and a category name. Then when a user is looking at a webpage if any of the strings are matched we want to display to the right of the matched string an icon. These icons will represent the category names and will be hard coded into the extension.
The main requirements will be that it is very fast and uses as minimal resource on the users computer as possible.
